Marketing Technology (MarTech) Intern

Location: Remote

Length: 120-150 days

This internship transitions to an upper entry-level to mid-level position with a salary ranging from $70,000-$85,000 based on qualifications and performance. SyncGro is initially looking to hire one to two MarTech Specialists out of the internship in the next six to eight months.

Skill Development

The candidate will gain proficiency in the following marketing technologies and skills:

  • HubSpot (customer relationship management and marketing automation)
  • Google Search Console (search engine optimization, SEO)
  • Google Ads (pay-per-click, PPC)
  • Meta Business (Facebook and Instagram) and Ad Managers (PPC)
  • LinkedIn Ads (pay-per-click, PPC)
  • Additional Google Business tools including the Google Business Manager and Google Analytics

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following skills or qualities:

  • Conditional logic and reasoning (anyone who is great at and enjoys strategic board games!)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to determine multiple paths of logic based on distinct rules and triggers
  • Ability to operate as a self-starter
  • Life-long learner
  • Gifted at adoption (getting people to use and optimize new ways of doing things)

Internship Success Indicators

The intern will be assessed on the following Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Setup a new HubSpot account from scratch or from migration
  • Identify gaps in existing HubSpot accounts and provide value proposition to upsell
  • Gather content from Account Managers and schedule or publish into the respective system
  • Setup PPC campaigns according to client KPIs
  • Identify areas of improvement from an SEO perspective
